Terms and conditions


Decorrestore offers the original purchaser a 1-year warranty from completion of your project on our workmanship and materials, as well as a 2-year warranty on hardware. Decorrestore will repair or replace based on an assessment of the deficiency and this shall constitute the client's sole remedy. Regular kitchen wear and tear, including but not limited to scratches, scuffs, stains, peeling, water damage, cracking of paint due to temperature or sunlight changes etc. are not covered as well as any damages caused by negligence or caused by other trades not employed by decorrestore. We will supply a touch-up bottle of your selected colour to have on hand for small touch-ups as required.


All quotes are valid for 30 days. Interior painting of doors and drawers is not included unless requested by the client and expressly outlined in the quote.

Colour Match

Decorrestore makes every effort to ensure the colour application is as close as possible to the colour selected, however we cannot guarantee an exact colour match due to any possible contamination on existing doors by chemicals, food, grease, or any type of liquid that may have penetrated the existing finish and or reached the base wood/material. In a newly sprayed refaced door, decorrestore will order the exact colour code from our paint suppliers database as requested by the client, however the client acknowledges that there may be some variability in the final colour to the shade and shadow of the room in your home.

Wood Doors and Trim

Due to the beauty of natural wood, existing grain and texture will continue to show through our professionally painted finish. The doors will reflect a refreshed look; however, the texture of the wood will still be prevalent. Additionally, wood doors and trim may expand and contract with seasonal temperature and humidity changes in your home causing possible cracks in the paint on seam lines. This varies from home to home and is beyond the control of decorrestore. Please be aware of this at the onset of your project as decorrestore is not liable for any possible paint cracks. To avoid this issue entirely, we recommend a reface with new doors instead of a respray of existing wood doors.

As-is Condition of Doors/Furniture

Doors or furniture received to be sprayed are received in 'as-is' condition and decorrestore is not liable for any preexisting imperfections, including but not limited to dents, scratches, glue marks, loose joints, misalignment, over sanding, under-sanding etc. that may impact the final finish of the piece. If clients require repairs to any piece, this must be specified and quoted at the onset of the project. All pieces must be inspected by the client within 5 days of pick up. Should an issue arise, decorrestore reserves the right to repair or respray the goods and this shall constitute the client's sole remedy.


Client grants decorrestore permission to photograph our work for the use of marketing of our services.

The client shall be deemed to have agreed to the terms and conditions herein noted by placing an order or by making a payment.

Payment Terms

  • We require a credit card on file for all jobs and will automatically apply each progress payment based on the below details. Credit card information can be provided over the phone or via an in-store visit.
  • Progress Payment 1: A $1,000 deposit is required to secure a place in our schedule and book an in-home appointment.
  • Progress Payment 2: 50% of your project will be charged at the time of ordering or before manufacturing commences.
  • Progress Payment 3: 40% of your project will be charged upon countertop install or upon substantial completion.
  • Progress Payment 4: The remaining balance will be charged upon full project completion
  • Progress payments can also be made via e-transfer and sent directly to karen@decorrestore.ca with the password 'kitchen'.
  • Cancellations: Cancellations received 60 days prior to the commencement of your project will receive a full refund less the costs incurred including materials ordered. Cancellations received within 60 days of commencement of your project are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the deposit received plus the costs incurred including all materials ordered.
